TMLC Celebrate Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week takes place every year from October 23-3st. It's the nation's longest and largest-running drug-use prevention campaign. Junior high students at Thurgood have been spending the week learning about the importance of drug prevention.

In Mrs. Halstead's class, she's been showing and discussing a prevention video series during Social-Emotional Learning time. Students also got participated in a door decorating contest!

In Health class, Mr. Scott is teaching a unit on drugs and what they do to the teenage brain through the National on Drug Abuse.
